The Vale
The Vale

One of our two original nines, The Vale was designed by famed golf architect Edward L. Packard in 1967 and completed in May 1969. It was subject to a renovation and modernization project in 2011 under the direction of renown golf architect Rick Robbins. The Vale exemplifies the flat, tree-lined designs that made Packard one of the most beloved golf architects of the Midwest. It represents the best of both the old school of course design and modern innovations. The Vale is the shortest of our three nines. The Vale comprises the first nine holes of the Iowa Golf Association's 2013 18-Hole Course of the Year, with The Ridge making up the latter half.
